Is a underground dog fence right for you?

There are numerous reasons that a hidden dog fence may or may not be the best answer to keeping you dog safe at home. There are many different manufactures of underground dog fencing available in today’s market place. Taking the time to do your research prior to purchasing will save you time and money in the long run.

Our pet stays at home for the most part but sometimes he will run off.

If you have a dog that runs off only for a short time you run many risks. You dog could be hit by a car, taken by a stranger, get picked up by animal control, eat poisonous items or numerous other bad things can happen. As a pet owner you are responsible for your dogs safety and you should provide a safe environment for him to live in both inside and outside of your home. A Charlotte underground dog fence would be the perfect solution for this situation.

We have a fence but our dog digs up the landscaped areas.

It is hard to keep your dog out of the flower beds or even your garden. A excellent alternative is to place the dog fence wire around your gardens and flower beds while still allowing your dog the freedom to run around them not thru them. With a little direction from our professional trainer and your dog will be on the grass and not in your garden or flower beds.

My dog has shown aggression toward people and other animals.

In this case it would be better for you to have a physical dog fence in place. Not all dogs are suited for this type of fencing. Keep in mind that no matter what type of fence you have you and only you are responsible for your dogs actions.

My Pet has medical conditions or other ailments.

Only a qualified veterinarian would be able to identify if your pet was in suitable health for a Charlotte dog fence. Always contact your vet if you have questions about using a hidden dog fence. If the vet gives the ok then you can trust the professionals at Contain-A-Pet of Charlotte to compassionately train your dog the the fence. Just as with a healthy dog our professional dog trainer will establish a training plan based on your dogs temperament as well as other factors such as age and health.

Many people think that a dog chained up in the yard provides protection for the family. In most times this isn’t true. Most dogs that are kept outside all the time are not socialized and are just as much a danger to the family as they are to strangers. Burglars are smart enough to know that if there is a dog in the back yard that they should enter though the front or through a window or different area. An dog living inside gives more protection than an outside dog.

Call Jeremy Today at 1-800-777-3647 and see why a Contain-A-Pet dog fence is a better way to contain your pet.

Many states and counties have passed laws regarding chaining or tethering dogs: Texas, Nevada and California are a few of the states. It is no longer acceptable to have an outside dog that is chained up 100% of the time in these areas as it is considered cruel and unusual punishment. Some states/areas do not allow animals to be tethered outside alone between certain hours such as 10pm to 6am. There are many other states in legislation right now trying to get bills passed and laws enacted to prevent chaining in their cities and towns. Punishment for these crimes varies in each state. If you currently have a dog that you chain up outside, odds are you are already affected or will be affected by the new laws.

Outside dogs are commonly fed sporadically and often knock over their food or water dishes. People involved in dog fighting often tether their dogs with logging chains and padlocks to strengthen up the dog’s neck muscles. Dogs kept outside are 2.8 times more likely to bite according to the CDC. Many children are hurt or injured each year by aggressive dogs on chains that attack when they enter into the dog’s territory. Others are injured simply by the chain or rope if the dog runs around them or jumps on them.

The Human Society recommends getting a fence or keeping dogs indoors. Many pet owners are faced with the reality that it can cost thousands of dollars to fence a yard and many others learn the hard way that if fences are too low the dogs will climb over or they will dig and get out underneath if the ground is not prepared properly.

A simple solution to this issue is getting an Charlotte Dog fence or pet containment system. If you shop with Contain-A-Pet, you can be assured that your Charlotte Dog fence will be installed promptly, by professionals. Products have a lifetime guarantee and you also are issued a one year containment guarantee. This means if in one year your pet does not remained contained, you are issued a refund. We are the only company in the world with this type of guarantee. A professional dog trainer will be assigned to train your dog.

It’s a simple solution that creates happy families. Your dog is your friend, don’t chain or tether him, get an Charlotte dog fence and see how freedom can change everything.

Choose the best dog containment system for your dog.

Should I choose a dog containment system via a box store, magazine or the web?

As a professional dog trainer and a dog fence owner, I would say No to purchasing any dog containment system this way! The following reasons explain why I am making this statement:

First and most importantly, it is very easy to psychologically damage your dog if the proper dog training and dog conditioning is not done.

Most people just put the dog fence collar on their dog and shock the heck out of their dog in the name of dog training. Some dogs (depending on the dog personality or dog temperament) can learn this way; but you scare them doing it. You can scar a dog doing this especially if this occurs during one of the two fear imprint stages a dog progresses through during their early years. In addition, you run the risk of your dog pooping in the house and being afraid to go out doors.

The correction is not the reason most dogs stay in their yards! Proper training and conditioning is the reason dogs stay in their yard. I often hear people tell me about the dogs they see running down the street that are on these store bought dog fence systems. Training, conditioning and system reliability may very well be the reason this occurring.

Other dogs (the more dominant, stubborn and high energy) tend to think the correction they are receiving around their neck is just a part of life. They learn to ignore it or take the pain. If they see something outside the dog fence they want, they go.

The only way I would buy one of these electric dog containment systems (via the methods addressed above) is if I knew a professional dog trainer that would help me with the training.

This is true with a full service dog fence company as well. I would just not assume that the person working with your dog is qualified to train. I would make sure! And, in most cases I would make sure your trainer is a real dog trainer capable of reading your dog’s personality and temperament.

This would be just one concern I would look at when searching for a dog fence Charlotte .
